The film has a great ensemble cast, anchored by Val Kilmer who layers his damaged character not merely with pathos, but additionally with anger and driven with a single-minded sense of purpose. Whilst the remaining portion of the cast are uniformly good, Vincent D'ononfrio nearly steals the whole show as the bigger than life Pooh-Bear. A deranged red neck dealer, who took so much'crank'they'd to cut his nose off, the unhinged Pooh-Bear is a superb creation, exuding a crazed menace. You could never look at a badger the same way again!
